From Lauren

Hello and welcome to the first issue of The Guthan. We are here to blow you away with our pure, uncensored opinions - as well as tell you a few things we might know that you don’t. By no means do we all agree on everything you will find here. You might very well pick up next month’s issue and find an article that completely contrasts and contradicts one you read this month.

We definitely want to hear about your opinions on things too. At the end of each article is the author’s name, as well as their e-mail. You can also find these on the staff page on the main site. We would love to hear what you have to say on the subjects, and you might even see your letter printed in the next issue. There aren’t any reader responses in this first issue for obvious reasons, but next month the second page of the magazine will hopefully be full of your opinionated thoughts. We would love to hear from you, and if you’ve got something you want us to write about you can e-mail it to me and we’ll see what we can do. Be warned: writing to us is at your own risk. We make no promises and take no prisoners.

A side note: take everything you read within this issue with a grain of salt. We’re all just people expressing our opinions. If you have a differing opinion, please keep things cordial, and we will do likewise. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, and everyone should be allowed to express it however they wish.

Throughout the making of this first issue, I had many of the writers asking me what they should write. My answer was always the same: we write about whatever interests us, whatever bugs us, whatever grabs our attention. Perhaps something that got our attention will get yours.

So, read on. The articles you will find in this issue are listed to the left of this little welcome, you might find something you’re interested in right away by looking there. Otherwise, just skim through the pages, I’m sure there’s something for everybody in here.

No PDF issue this month, not enough stuff to work with. As you can tell, we are more in need of staff than usual. E-mail me if you'd be interested in working on the mag.
